The latest mix by Ed Mazur continues his signature blend of diverse house styles, from the deeper shades of Chuck Love and Vernon, to deep tech of Lovebirds, and German tech house from Ellen Allien. Showcasing the latest release on House on the Hill , “Gravity’s Pull” with remixes by Brett Johnson and Emanate.
Following the massive release of It’s All About (featuring Giom remix) , the fifth release for House on the Hill takes a tech house turn. Brett Johnson steers the original in a very different direction with his dark room tech house stomper, while Emanate take it to a deeper more minimal level.

To promote the exciting new House on the Hill release, “It’s All About” featuring Giom remix (see next post), I’m playing a couple gigs for Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). First off is Mindless Digital Music Appreciation, or M.D.M.A for short, at Cue Bar in Amsterdam. An official opening party for ADE, I’m playing at 1AM, along with Mike L, DK Wattsm Rob Boskamp, Jodee Kitch, Nick Fiorucci, Paul Sparkes, and more! This is a free event so get there early before it reaches capacity.
7PM-4AM Cue Bar Utrechtsestraat 16, Amsterdam, Netherlands Free entrance
Also playing an official closing party at Bungalow 8. With Champagne Powder , Jodee Kitch ,Addik, Mike L , DK Watts , DJ Q , Oscar P, MC Pryme.
House on the Hill’s fourth release now available! My original track “It’s All About” featuring Orange County, CA based vocalist Alexandra Lojek, will be paired up with remixes by Giom and Laron aka Swan. Giom, based in London, has been one of the top remixers of the last few years and I’m stoked to have him on my label. His remix of Vernon & Dacosta’s “As Darkness Falls” is arguably one of the biggest Underground House cuts of 2007. His first solo EP, “People Ep” was then released in July 2007 on San Francisco’s Motion Music and quickly went to number 1 at both Primal Records and Juno Records best sellers chart that went to number 2 of the Stompy.com top 100 download chart. More recently, both his “Stolen Soul EP” and his remix of NU-Soul singer Natalie Williams (U Don’t Know – Aroma Recordings) topped the Juno Records’ House chart, as well as both being licensed to various compilations, such as Olivier Desmet & Inland Knights ‘ San Francisco Sessions on Om Records, and Mark Farina’s brand new Fabric 40 Mix CD. For this release, expect a slighter harder sound than you might associate with Giom.
Laron aka Swan is a longtime San Francisco DJ and producer, now based in Chicago. His tracks have appeared on labels such as Classic, Sunburn, Bounce House, and many others. His production feature high energy beats with funky bass lines. His remix features a chugging acid line with deep pads and hard hitting vocals.
Finally, my original mix. Alongside a driving electric bass and thick kick bass, a wah wah Rhodes and Alexandra’s soaring vocals trade off throughout, constantly evolving in new directions throughout the track.
